Seahawks Game

The Seahawks won against the Denver Broncos
in one of their preseason games and the
Griffiths were there to see it.
Here is the new #51 looking tough and ready
to hit someone hard!
When we arrived at Qwest field, we discovered
a bunch of free blow-up obstacle courses, photo-ops and
food samples. What fun!
Alex took advantage of the chance to run, catch etc!
Tough guy here cut his thumb a few days before we
went to the game. It was our first trip to the
emergency room. The Lord was so faithful!
No stitches for Josh and it is healing nicely, now!

The 12th man is the fans!

We all got our faces painted/airbrushed
with the Seahawks logo.
What loyal fans we are!
Alex and Josh both wore their jerseys, too!
We enjoyed the game and the whole
experience except for a few rowdy
guys behind us. It got a bit
cool at the end because it was windy.
Thanks to Matt and Mindy for
letting us stay the night at your place
while you were gone!

Great view from the end zone area!

A sweet treat to end the game!

Shawn's Birthday Celebration

Michael invited the Hedricks and Pettits
over for my birthday after church!
We had a great lunch and Janice made
me caramel corn-YUM YUM-as
my special dessert!
I got wonderful cards/gifts from all
my family and friends and had a great day.

Guys can't take a normal picture, can they?
(Notice the contrast between this and the
women's picture later!)

Love that caramel corn!

Me, Toni, Lauren and Janice!
Thanks for celebrating with me!!!

Later,we took a nice bike ride along the river!
Good job making it a wonderful birthday, honey!
Thanks to all my family and friends-I so
appreciate you all!

Alex goes to camp, Josh goes to the zoo!

Alex had his first experience away from home
overnight at camp for a whole week!!!
Everyday, the rest of us at home searched
the pictures on the camp's website for a
glimpse of Alex! This is a picture we saw
one day while he was gone.
He had a good time except for the fact that
half of his cabin got sick with a stomach flu.
At the end of the week, there were only 5 left
from his cabin! He went with two friends, one
got sick and had to go home. Alex threw up
one time during the night when many others
were sick, but was fine the next morning
and had a big breakfast!
Josh spent the night at his friend's house, then the
next night they came to our house.
We took a few pictures to send in letters to
Alex, while he was away at camp.
The camp has a moose head in the dining hall;
if you get three letters in a day you have to
kiss the moose! Josh had a great time
with his friend, but also missed his brother!
Another day during the week, Josh and a
different friend spent the day at the zoo!
Here he is petting a chicken.

Eating a snack in the polar bear den!

Two crazy kids and bears!

Ride 'um, cowboys!

Alex loved his counselor, "Tonka".
Everyone that works at the camp has a
camp name. We have 4 or 5 high
school and college ages kids
from our church who are working there.
One of our good friends has the name
"Weia" (pronounced waya) because Josh called her
that when he was little. How he got that
from Lindsey, we aren't really sure?!

Alex and a friend from church that didn't get sick!

Playing a game the day that we
picked Alex up. He was dirty and very tired!

Alex and another friend from church!

It was a great week for us all, doing different things,
but we are so happy to be back together again
as a whole family!

Swimming Lessons at the Aquatic Park

Alex and Josh did two weeks of swim
lessons at the Aquatic Park that is
close to our house. They had a great
time and both learned a lot! Here they
are in their Hawaiian swim trunks.
(A gift from their cousins!)
Who is that long haired fellow?
They both love swimming with goggles and
Alex has to have his nose plug, also.

Alex had a friend in his class this year! They
enjoyed jumping off the diving board at the
end of class each day!

Josh also had a chance to jump off the diving
board! They both did a super job and
are turning out to be great swimmers!

Joshua's 7th Birthday!

We ate a special dinner out for Josh's
birthday at Red Robin!

He opened presents from Dad, Mom and Alex
on his actual birthday!

Joshua had his birthday party on the Saturday
after his birthday!
He enjoyed having all his friends come to celebrate,
play games, and swim in the back yard!

Nobody likes cake-our boys always want donuts!

Everyone played "pin the tank on the target"!

We waited to do swimming until all the eating, game playing
and gift-opening were done. There was
a mad dash for the back yard and the pool when
we told them it was time for swimming!
