Two Days off from Home School!

Tuesday we spent the day at OMSI with
our friends from church.
(Oregon Museum of Science & Industry)
These pictures of the air blowing the boys
hair were such a crack-up to me! Usually
they put a ball on top to show how it
floats up in the air.
Part of the time they played with
"Flubber" at the Science Playground area.

Here are the chipmunks with their acorns
in the eagles nest-confused animals
I guess!

Touching a corn snake!

Using a special microscope to explore.

Our second day off from school this week was
spent with Daddy for his birthday!

We got Daddy a new car stereo since his
other one didn't work!

We headed to the zoo for Daddy's birthday.
Daddy had the day off from work.
(Thanks to Grandpa Fred
for the membership he got us for Christmas!)

We found a different place to view the elephants
and the trainers came out at that moment
to have them do some tricks!
They check their teeth and feet etc. Too cool!

We shared an elephant ear after
seeing the elephants.

Alex is as tall as a sun bear!

We ended the day at Red Robin so that Daddy
could get a free ice cream sundae!
Alex and Josh had ice cream too!

A nice big bite of ice cream.

Daddy was a good sport when the wait staff
sang to him!

I guess we will have to crack the
books again next week . We
are all getting spring fever even
though we plan to do school
through the summer time. We
will take breaks, of course, like we
did this week! Two days off
was great!

Warm Wet Weekend Fun!

We had some beautiful sunny weather on Sat
and Sun-warm enough for water!
The boys and Daddy had a big water fight!
I sat by the house in the "Mommy safe zone".

I'm not sure who got the worst of it?
Probably Daddy!

Mother's Day 2009

My boys spoiled me rotten for MOTHER'S DAY!
I actually was sick all weekend so I was in bed on
Saturday and didn't go to church
Sunday morning!
I got a big bag full of all my favorite snack food!
(I already ate one bag!)
Alex and Josh made me beautiful hearts
at church!!!!

All three of my boys had wanted to take me to lunch
but because I wasn't feeling well we decided to
get take-out from Arawan Thai! Yummy!
I got beautiful cards! Including a great
musical one from Alex and Josh!
Daddy did pretty well too:)

Thanks for all the love and gifts, guys!

Alex and Josh have been playing basketball in

the garage a lot because of all the rain. They also

like the shorter hoop, because they can dunk it!

When the rain gets to be too much, "if you can't beat 'em,

join 'em," right! The boys enjoy the puddles!!!

Parent's Birthdays in April

All of our remaining parents have their birthdays
in the month of April. We spent time with all three of them!
We are so blessed that they all are healthy, godly
role models for their kids and grandkids!
(Michael's mom, Roberta passed away five years ago
in April and we sure miss her!)

We enjoyed our weekend in Ephrata, WA.....

eating popcorn and playing games.....

and playing mini golf!

We had dinner for Mom/Nana at our house on
her birthday.

Nana had us for dinner at their house
the weekend before Dad's birthday.

Here's Nana opening her card.
